Past and Present

History:

YS: Ark of Napishtim (PSP) (2006)
- An action RPG created by the Nihon Falcom Corporation.
- This is where it all started. My parents finally bought me a PSP, my first console. This was one of the first RPGs I finished and what led me to start playing RO. (I thought the aesthetics and gameplay were very similar at the time.)

Ragnarok Online (Windows) (2009-2013)
- An MMORPG created by Gravity Co., Ltd.
- One of my good friends invited me to play with them (probably becauae they needed a healer? haha). However, I was the one who stuck to it after they quit. Here I met guildmates who I still talk to regularly and play other online games with.

Professor Layton Series (DS/3DS)
- A series of puzzle adventure games created by Level-5.
- This series is the reason I got a 3DS. (I used to borrow a friend's DS to play the earlier games.) The storylines are interesting and the endings are always unexpected. You join Professor Hershel Layton, an archaeologist with a penchant for puzzles, and his assistant, Luke Triton, in solving the mysteries that come their way. The characters have a strange obsession for puzzles, though. Some will even argue with you over them and refuse to help you until you solve their puzzles. Still, I adore this series. <3

Ace Attorney Series (DS/3DS)
- Another series of puzzle games told in visual novel style published by Capcom.
- You play as Phoenix Wright, a defense lawyer in search of the truth. In your quest to find evidence and defend your clients, you find yourself in alot of strange situations, meeting all sorts of wacky characters along the way. My personal favorite is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, the fifth in the series. Because Cykesquill. 'Nuff said. :3

Injustice: Gods Among Us (IOS) (2013-2014)
- A collectible card game that played like (a simpler, swipe up, swipe down, version of) Tekken.
- I really really loved this game. ._. Simpler than fighting games on consoles but still requiring some sort of skill. I had all of the challenge heroes and even saved up coins from daily login to get the Red Son Set multiple times. (I was obsessed, I know.) One day, my save disappeared. Talking about it makes me sad, even now. D:

Dragon Nest (Windows) (2014-2016)
- An MMORPG created by Eyedentity.
- Another online game I discovered because of another friend. This time, I happened to see him playing it at another friend's house. I thought it was interesting, how you could actually dodge attacks (or rather had to, to avoid death). I played it and got hooked. Now I am obsessed with sorceress costumes and doing events for mounts and pets.

Gods Rush (Android) (2014-2015)
- A tactical RPG by IGG.
- Here, your heroes are the ancient Greek gods and goddesses. You fight in campaigns to rescue Greece from other gods who have been corrupted. I picked this up because I was interested in Greek mythology and this game features many minor gods and goddesses, some of whom I was not familiar with, like Hecate. (She is an awesome hero in the game, though.)

Hakuoki (3DS) (2015)
- A romance visual novel game by Idea Factory set in the Bakumatsu Period of Japan.
- I came across this game while looking for other games that were actually more of interactive stories than games. The only input you have in these stories is choosing options, which decides the way the stories end (as well as who you end up with). I picked this particular title up because of the story's setting. (The Bakumatsu Period is the era of the samurai.) It focuses more on the history than on romance and is pretty text heavy so this is more for readers who are interested in Japanese culture and history (and romance).

Midnight Cinderella (Android) (July 2015-February 2017) (xTqxsrTz)
- An otome game (interactive visual novel) by Cybird.
- Pure fluff. You are a princess who is looking for a prince consort. Pick your suitor and read the story. If I didn't take the time to actually read the stories, I would be wondering why I picked this up as well. This game requires patience if you aren't going to spend money on it.

Bloodline (Android) (October 2015-Sometime 2016) (00100122725)
- A card collecting RPG game by Cherry Credits.
- The gameplay of this game is similar to God's Rush. It's like automated Pokemon, except with people as your characters. I have two accounts but the smurf (the lower leveled, less active one) is the one that gets better cards during random draw. .-. What is this RNG.

Destined to Love (Android) (October 2015-February 2017) (A658AL3XH)
- Another otome game by Cybird.
- You travel back in time to 19th century Japan. This game was released October 27, 2015. I began playing it the day it was released because of the Midnight Cinderella bonuses and the story's setting (which is the Bakumatsu, like Hakuoki's). It even has the same characters as Hakuoki. o.o I like the story so far, but I've only seen the first four chapters of Saito's route, who I chose because he's quiet and mysterious. :3

Professor Layton Series (Again)
Layton's Mystery Journey is being released later this year! Because of this, a real world puzzle-solving event is ongoing!

Puzzles!
